Is there any Dark Nebula that can be observed? I need to observe it for my GCSE Astronomy Coursework.
Dark Nebulae are not really objects in their own right in astronomy - it merely means a nebula which has enough dust in it that it blocks out a lot of the light from stars within the nebula, or behind it. We have several examples of these in the NSO catalogue for instance, the Heart Nebula, NGC2064 and NGC2071.
Thanks a lot for your help!
