Which browser should I use?

JS9 should work with all browsers, such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. It will even work on a smartphone!

I don't have access to Microsoft products such as Excel and Word - can I still try this activity?

Yes, you can open the Magnitude Calculator spreadsheet and the JS9 Manual using the free web version of Microsoft Office (you will need a free Microsoft account).
