Did you know this Thursday is Asteroid Day?

Held every year on June 30th, the anniversary of the largest impact in modern times (in Siberia in 1908), Asteroid Day is a global campaign designed to raise awareness of asteroids and to encourage thinking about how we, the human race, could protect ourselves, and our planet, from asteroid impacts.

You can learn more about Asteroid Day on the dedicated website by clicking here. Alternatively why not engage your class, and assist the scientific community, by engaging with a little asteroid hunting? Our Asteroid Watch activity is suitable for school children of all key stages.
