Life on Earth

Aimed at pupils aged 7-11, this activity links the topics of living things and their habitats with earth and space. Students will discuss the diversity of life on Earth and how life is linked via food-chains and food-webs. They will explore factors that make Earth a special place in our Solar System, and how space scientists look for life on other planets.

An extension activity allows students to use the knowledge learned to design their own planet. A ‘Design a Planet’ worksheet is provided.
