Humans have long looked at the stars.

As technology developed, we built telescopes to see space in more detail.

Later, advances in engineering allowed us to design rockets that could travel beyond Earth. Since the 1950s, humans have explored space. This includes walking on the Moon and keeping astronauts in orbit around Earth.

We have also built robots and probes that have landed on distant planets. These machines continue to explore regions far beyond our Solar System.
