Thank you for registering with The Schools' Observatory. Hopefully you are able to spend a little time looking around the site, but if not I have picked out a few highlights for you:
- Request an observation – The Go Observing section walks you through using the world’s largest fully robotic telescope to request an observation of an astronomical object.
- Choose from our library of lessons and activities – These are all designed to develop STEM skills using Space as the hook and can be found in the Things to do section.
- Create student accounts for your students – Did you know that you can quickly create individual accounts for your students, allowing them to use the telescope, access the resources and learn about the wonders of Space from the comfort of their own home? Of course you will be able to control those accounts, and even login as an individual student to look through their requested observations. This is all done from within the 'My account' section.
If you have any difficulties with using any of the The Schools' Observatory resources, we have a useful help section and several tutorial videos, which can be found by clicking here.
Alternatively if you have any comments, suggestions or would like to ask a question, please feel free to email the team at schoolsobs@ljmu.ac.uk.
