Proud to be part of LJMU,
in partnership with the Dill Faulkes Educational Trust

Join us for a wonderful end to phase 1 of the "Can we get Humans to Mars?" Liverpool John Moore University-Royal Society project!

We are excited to welcome all of our Year 5 students on to LJMU's campus for our annual Primary Christmas lecture this year entitled:

Who's Ready for Mars?

The talk will be given by Lucinda Offer of the Royal Astronomical Society (RAS).

Lucinda is the Education and Outreach officer at the RAS, former executive director of The Mars Society and former NASA Ames Associate working on Mars research.

She will talk to us about the history of Mars exploration, some key missions to Mars, what we've learnt, and what the future of Martian exploration might look like!

Due to the number of schools taking part in our Mars project, we will be running 2 sessions of the talk in the morning and afternoon of Tuesday, 16th December 2025.
