Code of Conduct 

Alongside the general policies of LJMU [link opens in a new window], by taking part in Work Experience Week, I commit to upholding high standards of behaviour and professionalism. 

This code of conduct outlines the expectations for the behaviour of all participants during the programme. I understand that upholding these standards of working is crucial for maintaining a welcoming, positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all participants and staff. 

Expected Conduct 

• Supportive Learning Environment: I will contribute to creating and maintaining a positive and supportive learning atmosphere during all program-related activities.
• Respect and Courtesy: I will treat all participants, speakers, and staff with respect and courtesy, valuing diverse opinions and backgrounds.
• Punctuality and Communication: I will be punctual for all activities and notify the ARI of any absences in advance by emailing SchoolsObs@ljmu.ac.uk.
• Mobile Phone Usage: I will turn off or silence my mobile phone during all program activities to avoid distracting others.
• Dress Code: I will dress appropriately for a professional environment at LJMU, showing respect for fellow students and professionals.
• Reporting Concerns: If I have any concerns about another participant or staff member, I will report these immediately to a program staff member or by emailing SchoolsObs@ljmu.ac.uk.
• Welfare and Safety: I consent to the ARI contacting my parent, guardian, or carer if there are concerns about my welfare or safety. Where this is not possible, I agree that my teacher or school may be contacted. 

Prohibited Conduct: 

• I understand that the use of racist, sexist, homophobic, abusive language, or any form of derogatory or offensive terms, including swear words, is strictly prohibited.

By completing this form I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to abide by the Code of Conduct outlined above. I recognise that failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in my parent, guardian or carer being notified, and my removal from the program.
